The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology was established in 1906. Since its inception, the goal has been to develop a strong foundation in musculoskeletal research and to achieve a reputation for excellence in clinical care and teaching.
The department’s commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching and research is based upon the belief that outstanding service to patients, family members, referring physicians, fellow employees, students and the future ofmedical science should be the standard, not the exception.
